System Status Notification
Thursday, April 29, 2010 - Network connection to the datacentre is down.
The internet connection to the datacentre went down about 9:50AM today. Road construction at Steeles and Keele cut through our fibre. Jobs are running fine but you won't be able to connect to any of the SciNet systems.
We currently expect the connection to be repaired overnight, and service restored by 9AM tomorrow (Friday, April 30/2010).
Temporary workaround
Until the fibre connection is restored, we have implemented a - SLOW - DSL connection that will allow users to login to scinet01. Please note: This connection is NOT intended for any data transfer!
So, if you ssh into 70.25.60.171 you will get directly to scinet01.
