One of our IB fabric managers died last night. As a result, many nodes including the GPFS managers could not communicate properly and many nodes had their GPFS unmounted. If you had crashed jobs, please resubmit.

SciNet Network Interruptions

The network connection to the SciNet datacentre will go down twice over the next week as UofT will physically move an internet gateway to a new datacentre. Jobs will continue to run during these times but users will not be able to connect to any SciNet systems (GPC, TCS, BGQ etc). The SciNet website and support email system will not be affected.

SciNet network connection will be down:

  • 7:50 am to 8:10 am, Friday 6 Dec
  • 7:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday 9 Dec
