SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE DOWNTIME ANNOUNCEMENT

There will be a full SciNet shutdown from January 25th to January 26th, 2017 for scheduled annual maintenance.

All systems will go down at 7 AM on Wednesday January 25th; all login sessions and jobs will be killed at that time.

Systems are expected to be available again at the end of Thursday January 26th.

However, since we will be replacing our scratch storage as part of the maintenance, there may be delays in transferring the content. You are encouraged to check the SciNet wiki (wiki.scinet.utoronto.ca) for progress updates on Thursday.

Note: The scratch replacement will be transparent to users. Your scratch will still be under /scratch or /scratch2 (wherever it was before), and your files will be there as well.

January 18, 2017, 10:00 am EST: We have experienced scheduler issues on several of our systems. A few jobs may have experience file system problems as well. Things are mostly back to normal, but we're still checking.
