HPSS system out of space - Upgrade of the tape library
Our apologies for this inconvenience. Our HPSS is completely full, and ingestion operations are suspended until further notice. A planned expansion and upgrade of our tape library is in process, and we expect it to be completed within about 3 weeks. This will substantially increase the capacity and capability of the library, eventually reaching about 25 PB of capacity using the latest LTO7 tape technology. We have the new hardware (expansion cabinet, new LTO7 tape drives) on site, and we will post updates about the installation on this wiki. Tapes are also on order.
During this time you may still recall or delete material - except when the library is down for actual expansion. Notifications will be posted here.
